I stumbled across Violet JJ Designs after winning a portrait of Ernie and Stan in a charity auction and loved the result so much that I ended up buying more! Jazz, who draws and makes everything by hand, only needed a couple of photos to capture the boys’ personality and I loved the simple portrait of them both on a plain white background.
It was impossible to resist ordering felt badges of each of the boys too, partly because I’d never seen anything like them before and partly because they only cost £10 each. They now have pride of place on my denim jacket and I was thrilled to see Jazz had even captured Stan’s striking bold eyebrows.
Jazz also makes personalised Christmas decorations of both cats and dogs and has recently started offering house portraits, which are just lovely. Mini pet portraits start from just £5 and the Christmas decorations start from £6. Custom versions cost between £12 and £16 and can take up to six weeks to make – so get your bookings in early!
